DAY 1: THE INITITAL BANDAGE

I will apply your initial adhesive bandage immediately after our session. Keep this first bandage on until tomorrow (approx. 24 hours). It is normal to see fluid, ink, or blood collect underneath the wrap—this is part of your body's natural healing response.

DAY 2: REMOVING AND REPLACING

Gently peel off the initial bandage under warm, running water (this helps loosen the adhesive). Clean the tattoo thoroughly using your fingers and a gentle, unscented liquid antibacterial soap. Pat the area completely dry with a clean paper towel. Once dry, apply the second adhesive bandage I provided.

DAY 2-6: THE SECOND BANDAGE

Leave this second bandage on for up to five days. This creates an optimal environment for your fine line work to settle securely without thick scabbing. You can shower normally with it on, but do not submerge it in water. If the bandage leaks fluid, peels off to expose the tattoo, or causes skin irritation, remove it early.

DAY 6+: AFTER BANDAGE REMOVAL

After five days, gently remove the second wrap in the shower. Wash the tattoo gently with unscented soap and pat dry. Start applying a very thin layer of unscented lotion 2–3 times a day. Do not over-moisturize; your skin needs to breathe to heal.

WHAT TO AVOID

  • No Submerging: Do not swim, soak in hot tubs, or take baths for at least 2–3 weeks until the skin is fully closed.
  • No Sun Exposure: Keep your healing tattoo out of direct sunlight. Once fully healed, always apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to protect the fine line details from fading.
  • No Picking or Scratching: As the tattoo finishes healing, it may flake or itch. Do not pick or scratch at it, as this can pull the ink out of your tattoo.
  • No Saunas or Heavy Sweating: Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and intense workouts for at least 10–14 days. Sweating heavily underneath the adhesive bandage can trap bacteria, cause heat rashes, or break down the adhesive, lifting the stencil and damaging your tattoo.
