WEEKS BEFORE: SKINCARE + HYDRATION
The better condition your skin is in, the cleaner my lines will be. Drink plenty of water in the weeks leading up to your session to keep your skin hydrated. Do not get sunburned in the area we are tattooing; I cannot tattoo over peeling, burned, or damaged skin.
WEEKS BEFORE: MOISTURIZE
Apply a gentle, unscented lotion to the target area daily for 1–2 weeks before your appointment to make the skin more supple and workable. However, do not apply lotion on the actual day of your appointment, as this can interfere with the stencil transfer.
24 HOURS BEFORE: THINGS TO AVOID
Do not consume alcohol, heavy caffeine, or blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen) for 24 hours before your session. These thin your blood, which can cause excess bleeding and push the ink out, directly impacting the quality of the tattoo work.
DAY OF: NUTRITION + ENERGY
Please eat a full, substantial meal 1–2 hours before your appointment. Tattooing burns a lot of energy, and having stable blood sugar prevents dizziness, nausea, or fainting. I highly recommend bringing sugary snacks, juices, or sports drinks to keep your energy up during the session.
DAY OF: WHAT TO WEAR
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy, restriction-free access to the area being tattooed. Keep in mind that ink or stencil fluid might get on your clothes, so choose items you don't mind getting stained. Black clothing is usually the safest choice.
DAY OF: WHAT TO BRING
Please remember to bring a valid, government-issued photo ID (required for 18+ verification). You are also welcome to bring headphones, a book, or a tablet to help keep you distracted and relaxed while I work.
